The Ancient Art Council is designed to showcase the department's collection, publications, and exhibitions.
The Ancient Art Council needed the ability to display their collection of ancient art with the ability to easily add in new pieces are they are acquired. Through the use of textures and earth tones, the site provides a center stage for its offerings.

How is the Ancient Art Council Museum Site Using Drupal?
Exhibitions and Programs - The Ancient Art Council has been supporting the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco with exhibitions from the mid 1970s which are further supplemented with programs offered throughout the year. The exhibitions have been archived on the site with current and upcoming exhibitions appearing on the front page for added exposure. Programs related to specific exhibitions are cross-referenced when necessary.
Image Gallery for Collections - Drupal gives the Ancient Art Council the ability to easily upload and management their collection of ancient art. A total of three galleries were created and all pieces in the collections support information about where the piece came from, the time period the piece is from, the material it was made out of, and where the museum acquired the piece from. Random pieces from the collection are shown both in the header of the site as well as highlights from each major collection gallery in the footer of each page.
Publications - In addition to the museum's collections, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco regularly publishes books either for specific collections or specific exhibitions. The Ancient Art Council is able to display the various publications with information about each collection, a thumbnail of the front cover, and links to purchase the publication if it is still in print.
